Maksim Kan, born on April 24, 1994, in Uzbekistan, emerged as a top-tier tennis talent early in
his career, achieving top 5 blue chip recruit status on TennisRecruiting.com and a top 10 junior
USTA ranking. He received a full athletic scholarship to Wake Forest University in 2013, where
he played primarily at the #3 spot and significantly contributed to the team's success. During his
tenure, Kan helped the Demon Deacons secure their first-ever #1 NCAA ranking and their first
ACC conference title, besting the University of Virginia. His collegiate career highlights include
reaching top 60 in the ITA singles rankings and top 25 in doubles. Transitioning into coaching,
Kan joined the Tier 1 Performance Coaching staff in 2022 as a leading senior coach, leveraging
